Nurture Your Inner Man

Proverbs 31:30 (AMPC) Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!

Beloved, do not be sucked in by vanity, ever chasing fickle trends and the approval of man. Allow the radiance of your countenance to shine, and the soft glow of My presence resting on you to bring forth beauty.

May your heart’s focus be on Me, not on the cares of this world – though yes, it is right to take care of your outer body and belongings, that should not take precedent over nurturing your inner man in relationship with Me.

So worship Me without reserve. Gaze on My face with reverential awe. Listen keenly for My voice. Rejoice in the wonder of My presence. Be made whole. Be made beautiful.

A Slave to Bondage No More

2 Corinthians 3:17 (AMPC) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).

Beloved, My Spirit brings freedom. Receiving Me is receiving My Spirit. You are a slave to bondage no more. My Spirit lives within you. The traps of the enemy cannot hold you as you surrender yourself to Me. Let My Spirit lead and guide you. Be sensitive to My flow. I will direct you, I will teach you, and I will convict you. Trust Me to lead you rightly (and trust Me to lead others rightly as they surrender to Me too).

I can open the door to your cage, but I cannot force you to fly. You must choose to fly free. I have made a way, but you must walk it out. Beloved, soar with Me. You’ve been released – the chains broken – don’t believe the enemy’s lies that you are still his hostage. The blood has paid the price, you need not try to pay it again – it is already covered – simply move in the freedom that came at so high a cost.

I AM Mighty to Save

Zephaniah 3:17 (VOICE) The Eternal your God is standing right here among you, and He is the champion who will rescue you. He will joyfully celebrate over you; He will rest in His love for you; He will joyfully sing because of you like a new husband.

Beloved, I AM your champion. I fight for your cause. I AM on your side and I AM mighty to save. I snatch your feet from the net, pulling you from the snares of the enemy, saving you because I love you.

Rejoice with Me in your freedom. Hear Me sing over you in love. I AM here. I AM with you, ever by your side. Rest in Me. Lean into Me. Know I AM here. Look to Me and don’t be overwhelmed. I AM where your help comes from. Always remember that. Always remember to look to Me and call out to Me. I AM ever present and ready to fight on your side.

Create with Me 

Isaiah 40:28 (TLB) Don’t you yet understand? Don’t you know by now that the everlasting God, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, never grows faint or weary? No one can fathom the depths of his understanding.

Beloved, I AM the idea maker. I never run out of ideas. My creativity knows no bounds. Take My hand and create with Me. I love to share in the joy of bringing forth new life and ideas into being. I AM the Creator. Listen for My whisper and be moved by the touch of My hand. I declared light into being, and it came forth. Behold the smallest detail on the daintiest flower is My design. I AM beautiful and I bring forth beauty.

I will paint the sky as you paint with words. I will create new colors as you blend your palette. I will bring forth music as you sing a new song. Don’t hold back. Don’t censor yourself, or restrain or limit your creativity, allow it to flow and My Spirit to flow through you. Let your work reflect My heart and My kingdom. Bring forth aspects of My glory and My grandeur. Make Me known in the earth.

Cultivate Relationship with Me

Luke 10:41-42 (GW) The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha! You worry and fuss about a lot of things. There’s only one thing you need. Mary has made the right choice, and that one thing will not be taken away from her.”

Beloved, don’t allow yourself to get distracted by busyness. There will always be many good, worthwhile activities, but I have not called you to them all. Relationship with Me is more important than anything you could be doing, so make the time to cultivate it. Choose the better part – time with Me – and it will not be taken from you.

Remember that I AM the vine and you are a branch.  I AM your source of life. Draw from Me that you might bear fruit and bear it abundantly. Abide in Me. Dwell and rest in My presence that you might know Me and hear My voice clearly. Then you will know that you know your time is not wasted on fruitless activities because I will direct you. Be Naked and Unashamed 

James 5:16a (AMP) Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored.

Beloved, do not let pride or shame or fear of judgement keep you from confessing your sins. The enemy desires to keep you in bondage to them, wrapping you tightly in feelings of guilt and shame because he knows your confession will usher in freedom for you and he wants to keep you from it. Don’t let him.

Be naked and unashamed, willing to be transparent and vulnerable with your siblings in Christ. Trust that I will protect your heart, and trust that I will move in theirs as they respond to you and pray for you. Allow the fullness of your healing to come. Be restored and fully transformed. Be free.

Carry an Atmosphere of Peace 

Psalm 5:3 (AMP) In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

Make time to meet with Me, beloved. Come sit with Me. Wait on Me. Listen for My voice. Start your day with a pause. Allow My shalom – the peace that wars against chaos – to settle in your heart and mind. Start your day in that place of quiet, tuned into My frequency. Learn to find that place quickly and stay there.

Carry that quiet with you throughout your day. The enemy will seek to shatter it, but hold fast to it and to Me. It is your Inheritance, it belongs to you and is your right. He cannot take it away, only you can release it. So don’t let go. Hold fast and walk in peace, shifting the atmosphere around you to align with that peace rather than aligning to its chaos. Find Me in that place and hold on tight, I AM with you always.

I AM Limitless 

Revelation 4:3 (VOICE) The One enthroned gleamed like jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow encircled the throne with an emerald glow.

Beloved, I AM radiant. Shining in splendor. Enthroned above all. Swirls of color surround me. Light emanates from Me. I AM glorious. See Me and be moved in holy awe. Rightly see Me. Allow your spirit to discern and embrace My throne room. With your spiritual eyes see the glory of this place. Hear the voices crying, “Holy! Holy! Holy!” Understand My grandeur and majesty. Know Me as I AM.

Having seen Me as I truly am, would you try to put Me in a box? Would you try to contain or control Me? Beloved, I cannot be manipulated or controlled. Reject the temptation to make Me smaller so you can fully comprehend Me. I AM beyond comprehension – and that is good. I AM moving in ways you can’t see or imagine – and that is good. I AM bigger than you know – and that is good. I AM limitless! I know no bounds. Nothing is too great for Me for I AM greater than all. I AM.

Tune in to My Frequency 

Psalm 40:1 (AMP) I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry.

Beloved, I AM always speaking. Settle your spirit, quiet your soul, and listen. I AM right there. Whispering to My beloved one, My precious child, the apple of My eye – you. Be patient. If you had something to share and the person you were speaking to was rushing you, would you feel heard? Important? Respected? You’d want time and an unhurried pace. Leave that same space for Me to speak. If you create the space, I will meet you there.

Be expectant. Trust that I AM speaking to you. Refuse the doubt and unbelief that come to plague you – you know where those lies come from, and it isn’t Me. More than you want to hear Me, I desire to be heard. Sit at My feet and wait on Me. Take a deep breath in and quiet the internal noise. Tune in to My frequency. I AM here. I AM ready. I AM speaking.

Trust in Me and Soar

Isaiah 40:31 (VOICE) But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded, never weary. They will walk—never tired, never faint.

Beloved, soar with Me. If you are feeling weary or faint, lean more on Me – I can take it and I want to take it. I AM your stronghold, your strong tower, your place of safety and rest. Lean on Me and trust in Me. As you press in and trust Me more and more you are strengthened because I AM your strength.

Yield to My flow and soar with Me. As you trust Me and trust My direction, I will lead you how and where you need. The enemy wants you wasting time on things I have not called you to, allowing the “good” to steal your time and energy so the “best” never has its moment to come. He always tries to wear you out, but that is not of Me. Even I chose rest on the sabbath. Everything in its time and season, trust Me to know the flow.
