Prepare Yourself in Him

Be Still” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

{hearing} You can’t be prepared for all of it, so, prepare yourself in Me.

With the way our world is and our current reality, there is a lot of fear, a lot of worrying, a lot of opinions floating around, a ton of emotions, incredible division, and a lot of speculation as to what is happening from a biblical perspective. There is no way for us to really look ahead and prepare for what is to come. I think it’s fair to say there is no telling what on earth is ahead.  Continue reading “Prepare Yourself in Him”

Season of Expectation

There is a godly expectancy that is joyous – filled with incredible expectation of the Father’s fulfillment of redemption, the weight of the world literally lifts as we encounter His Son. And in that moment, the heavy yoke we tend to carry is lifted and there is such a light, airy – almost weightless – sensation that makes us want to dance and worship with so much joy and thankfulness. His burdens are light as a feather. What great expectations! Continue reading “Season of Expectation”

Eat, Sleep, and Be Merry

1 Kings 19:4-5 (VOICE) He journeyed into the desert for one day and then decided to rest beneath the limbs of a broom tree. There he prayed that his life would be over quickly and that he would die there beneath the tree. Elijah: I’m finished, Eternal One. Please end my life here and now , even though I have failed, and I am no better than my ancestors. Elijah then laid himself down under the broom tree and entered into a deep sleep. While he was sleeping, a heavenly messenger came and touched him and gave him instructions. Messenger: Get up, and eat.

Sometimes life and circumstances can feel so overwhelming. There are times we are so frustrated that there aren’t words to really express how we feel; we might even get a little dramatic – like Elijah. The beautiful thing is, Elijah wasn’t in some prayer closet on his knees praying “like he should.” He wasn’t moved to speak to God out of religious routine, it was out of relationship – he was just having a conversation out loud with God.  Continue reading “Eat, Sleep, and Be Merry”

Found Faithful

As the eyes of the Father search and look throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him (2 Chronicles 16:9), He has seen you and found you faithful. Like Noah (Genesis 6:8) and Mary (Luke 1:30) who were found faithful and received grace in the eyes of God, you also have received favor and abundant blessings. Continue to keep your heart steadfast in Him and His Word, and while on your knees before Him pouring out all that is within you, hidden treasures of secret places (Isaiah 45:3) will be given to you. To whom much is given, much is required (Luke 12:48) and He trusts you greatly with these riches.

Hinds’ Feet on High Places

{vision} You are getting ready to ascend the hill of the LORD. He has you in a place that is safe where you can learn from Him and grow in Him. He will be inviting you to go along the journey upwards when the time is right and you are ready. There are many stops to make along the ascent—a meadow, a stream, a wildflower patch, and even a dry area. All of the stops have a lesson for you to learn before you move along. He will guide you, strengthen you, and be with you always as He has said in His word (Matthew 28:20). Continue reading “Hinds’ Feet on High Places”

Heart of the Ocean

2 Kings 20:1-5 (NKJV) [emphasis added] “In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’” Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,“Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you.

Let Me Love You

Beloved child, envision being taken gently by your hands, your tears and fears being wiped sweetly from your face, and being lovingly looked in the eyes knowing the purity of the Spirit. Abba gently and with much tender love exhorts you to remember and know that He is not a MAN. Again, sweet and precious child; Abba Father is not a man. He does not and cannot lie. He is everything a man is not; everything a man cannot be. He is a tender, compassionate, loving Father who cares and loves you deeply. His love and promises concerning you are sealed and forever settled in heaven. Continue reading “Let Me Love You”

Set Like a Flint

The word “strong” is the Hebrew word “chazaq” (pronounced kha-zak) and means to “strengthen, prevail, harden, be firm, grow firm, and be resolute; to press, be urgent, to sustain or encourage oneself, to make bold, to keep hold of, and to withstand.”

The words “very courageous” are the Hebrew words “m’od ‘amats” and mean “to be exceedingly and abundantly strong, alert, brave, bold, solid, secure, determined, persistent, and to confirm oneself.” Continue reading “Set Like a Flint”

Cry of Freedom

What I see, feel, and hear is likened to a prisoner held captive who, within themselves, is crying out for freedom from oppression and oppressors. The time in captivity has tried to convince you and manipulate you into believing you are someone you are not and that you are alone. The subtle control and manipulation may have caused you to even question your own identity and perhaps believe you are who the oppressors say you are. But, beloved, your cries have been heard. Abba Father has heard you crying out His name for help. Your Warrior Father and the angels in heaven have warred and battled on your behalf and are scattering your enemies with the swinging of His strong arm and with His mighty hand that holds the keys of freedom and victory. Abba has shouted with a mighty voice of triumph and the walls of your prison have crumbled down. The chains have been broken off you and He is washing you clean by the water of His Word and the blood of the Lamb. You have overcome by this and through the word of your testimony! Fragrant Offering

Luke 7:36 -38 (NKJV) Then one of the Pharisees (Simon) asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.

Mark 14:4-6, 9 (NKJV) [emphasis added] But there were some (His disciples [Matthew 26:7], Judas Iscariot Simon’s son [John 12:4], and the Pharisee who had invited Him [Luke 7:39]) who were indignant among themselves, and said, “Why was this fragrant oil wasted? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor.” And they criticized her sharply. But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me…Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.

It is first interesting to note and understand the significance of where Mary was on her journey to where Jesus was. I believe it to be significant to the journey your heart has taken. Simon’s name means “listening, to be heard, reputation. His home was in Bethany (which means “house of dates” or “house of misery“) and Bethany was right at the Mount of Olives. The Mount of Olives was and still is one of the most well-known Jewish cemeteries in Israel. Bethany was next to the road that led from Jericho (means “Place of Fragrance“) to Jerusalem (means “foundation/possession of peace“…a place of completeness and wholeness).
