Weapons of War / Implements of Peace

Joel 3:10 (VOICE) Hammer your sickles into swords. Forge your pruning shears into spears. For this final battle, even the weakling must say, ‘I am a warrior!’

Beloved, there is a time of peace and a time of war. Be sensitive to My Spirit to know the season and the times. And in each season, take the time to prepare whether you be reworking your plowshare into a sword or reverting your weapon of war to an implement of peace.

Be prepared to build. Be prepared to tear down. Be prepared and flow in unity with My Spirit that you might also be in harmony with your brothers and sisters in Christ as we all move together as one, for together we are mighty. Continue reading “Weapons of War / Implements of Peace”

Desert Bloom

Isaiah 35:1 (GW) The desert and the dry land will be glad, and the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.

Beloved, I have created you to flourish in rough terrain. Refuse to let the rocks and desert deter you from making progress, for I have equipped you to succeed – to flourish even in hostile territory. Nothing can hold you back. I AM on your side.

There is strength in your beauty, beloved. Put it on display for all to see. Don’t hold back. Expand to the left and the right – stretch out your reach and stake more territory, for I AM with you, My heavenly hosts surround you, and I AM protecting you at every turn. Listen for My voice and respond. It is time to bloom. Continue reading “Desert Bloom”

My Eternal Word

Isaiah 40:8 (NLT) The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

Beloved, before the foundations of the earth, My Word existed – carried on My breath, made manifest in My creation; My Word apparent for all to see. For those who have an ear to hear and those who have an eye to see, My Word is vibrant and alive, mighty and powerful, comforting and steadfast.

I remain the same. I AM steadfast and true, faithful to My Word, and holy and righteous. My Word was made flesh – the bread of life. My Word is sustenance to strengthen and build you up. Allow Me to be your firm foundation. Rest in Me. Rely on Me. I AM life, and I AM eternal.

You are My Light

You are My Light. Go to the nations. Seek out My Name. Seek out My inheritance.(sensing a challenge to go into the dark places and discover His hidden treasures like Rahab, whom the spies found in Jericho. (Exodus 2:1-21)

Display My glory for all to see. Rejoice in Me beloved. Rejoice in Me and shine My light to the nations. Shine My light. Restore My light where it has been quenched. Restore My light where it has been lost. (Sensing a command to go into countries and places where persecution has shut down the visible or physical church and His sheep are struggling with fear, hopelessness and despair.) Restore My light to my little ones. Restore My light to the generations that have been lost in the darkness.  Continue reading “You are My Light”

The Wonder Before You

Isaiah 43:18-19 (VOICE) …Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; Waters will flow where there had been none.

Beloved, I AM doing a new thing; be ready for it. As you keep your gaze on Me, I will guide you with My eye – so stay alert and keep watch. Trust Me to lead and trust Me to know what’s best. I make all things new.

Yield, as I mold and shape you. Trust, as I refine and renew you. I AM transforming you from glory into glory, and I AM always at work in you. Just as a butterfly sheds the unneeded trappings of its past and flies into its beautiful future wholly transfigured, so you must step forth like Lazarus from the tomb – vibrantly alive and made new in Me with no need to look back for the wonder set before you. Singular Focus and Unwavering Devotion

Isaiah 43:18-19 (VOICE) Eternal One: Don’t revel only in the past, or spend all your time recounting the victories of days gone by…

Beloved, refuse to get stuck in the past or look back with longing like Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26); rather look ahead with joyful expectation for what I have in store. Behold, the best is yet to come, so it is time to ready your heart and mind to receive it.

Resist the urge to waver in your focus. You cannot move in more than one direction at a time and attempting to do so simply leads you in zigzags and circles that waste your time and energy. Focus on Me – on My path, and then move with singular focus and unwavering devotion. Continue reading “Singular Focus and Unwavering Devotion”

With You in the Flames

Daniel 3:25 (GW) The king replied, “But look, I see four men. They’re untied, walking in the middle of the fire, and unharmed. The fourth one looks like a son of the gods.”

Beloved, My presence is with you always. In the midst of the trials – in the heat of the flames – I AM with you. I never leave you or forsake you, nor will I allow you to be crushed or harmed even in the fire, for you are Mine, and nothing can snatch you from My grasp.

Look for Me. When the flames feel overwhelming, look for Me because I AM there by your side. I will walk through anything with you. There is nothing that will take Me from your side. So like the fire only burned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego’s ropes, let the dross be burned away – the unneeded worldly ensnarements – and come forth beloved as pure gold. Embrace Trials

Isaiah 43:2 (TLB) When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.

Beloved, embrace the trials you encounter, knowing I have allowed them for your good. Just as building muscle in weight training requires repetition and increased opposition (weight), repeated trials give opportunity for you to grow strong and build your faith.

The question becomes will you embrace the growing and refining process with joy? Or will you complain throughout the process? Be aware that having joy in the midst is part of what successful maturation looks like. So choose wisely and choose well.

Embrace trials for the character building opportunities they are. Trust that I will never give you more than you can handle with Me at your side. Let your light shine and your character be matured. Lead by example, and demonstrate your trust in Me as you yield to the development plan I set before you by walking it out with joy.

Beyond Imagination

Isaiah 64:4 (MSG) Since before time began no one has ever imagined, No ear heard, no eye seen, a God like you who works for those who wait for him.

Beloved, I AM beyond imagination. I AM the only true god; the One who loves His children, acts on their behalf, fights for them, and blesses them in unexpected and beautiful ways. I AM not a genie in a bottle. You can’t control Me or dictate My actions, but I AM fiercely loyal and love you immensely.

I lavish My love on those who choose Me. So choose Me, beloved, not for the blessings, but simply because I AM who I AM and am worth loving, worth worshipping, and worth pursuing. Remember that receiving My love is the greatest blessing of all. Continue reading “Beyond Imagination”

Stop the WHY

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV)  “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Every time you allow yourself to question God or question all kinds of “why’s” it slowly diminishes hope and opens the door to unbelief. Continue reading “Stop the WHY”
