Child of the Day

John 3:21 (VOICE) Those who abandon deceit and embrace what is true, they will enter into the light where it will be clear that all their deeds come from God.

Beloved, walk in the light for you are a child of the day and righteousness shines like the sun. So therefore allow your good deeds and virtuous words to shine like the Son that My Spirit might emanate from your countenance.

Reject that which is evil. Abandon that which would ensnare you and walk in purity and truth. Be like Me and lead others by example. Cultivate humility as you choose the path of right regardless of the cost. I AM worth the price.

Your Piece in My Intentional Design

1 Corinthians 12:18 (GW) So God put each and every part of the body together as he wanted it.

Beloved, no detail escapes My notice. I AM intricate with My design. Each gifting given with intention. Each calling bestowed with purpose. What I have planned for you is not too big or too small, nor does it matter how it compares to anyone else’s. Each piece is vital. Every person important. The primary aim being each person’s heart and obedience to Me, and secondarily their love for each other.

Gifts are given for the purpose of expanding the Kingdom. Their purpose corporate not for the building up of the one who possesses it. Refuse to allow pride. Resist the temptation to judge with human eyes remembering I AM one who leaves the 99 to chase the one.

Each detail – each gift – is important because I have designed each one with a purpose. If you reach hundreds through your flesh, but miss the one I created you to reach because you judged with human eyes rather than yielding to My plan, you will not have succeeded. Be intentional about fulfilling your part of the greater plan – My plan. The full picture of the puzzle is only complete when every piece – regardless of size – has come into place.

So let go of any expectations, refuse to allow human judgments to encourage or discourage, and simply be intentional about yielding to Me and My plans. They are good. They are intentional. And you and your piece are key.

Love, Patience, and Grace

Colossians 3:13 (TLB) Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Beloved, refuse to allow your frustrations to dictate your responses. Deny the fleshly indulgence of venting, and rather choose to respond in love, patience, and grace. Quietly extend forgiveness in moments where no offense was intended and truly release any feelings of annoyance leaving no room for bitterness, hurt, or anger to take root.

Refuse to harbor ill will. Operate from a place of love and peace with an expectation of good and a heavy measure of kindness and forbearance. Choose to be like Me. You are My child, made in My image – reflect My character that others may know Me by knowing you. Let your walk be your testimony as you walk in grace, patience, and love. Choose Compassion, Humility, and Kindness

1 Peter 3:8 (AMP) Finally, all of you be like-minded [united in spirit], sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted [courteous and compassionate toward each other as members of one household], and humble in spirit;

Beloved, remain humble – intentionally choosing compassion and kindness – and truly operate as brothers and sisters in Christ. You are one Body, called to be known by your love; therefore, lavish it liberally just as I do on My children.

Be intentional about staying in unity. Laying down any need to be right or desire to watch out for your own benefit in lieu of harmony and seeking alignment with Me and My plan. Allow trying moments to build and shape your character, while trusting your heart and needs into My capable hands.

Covenant Strength Shining Through You

2 Corinthians 12:9 (AMP) but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

Beloved, don’t be tempted to see your weaknesses as flaws or shortcomings, but rather as areas for My strength to shine through you. My grace is sufficient. Refuse to be tempted into pride by wanting to be seen as “capable,” but rather seek to be known for being completely reliant on Me. That is a legacy worth having.

Boast in Me and in My power for I AM more than enough and delight in showing who I AM. You need not fight or argue or scramble for Me to be faithful, for My covenant with you extends generation to generation of those who love Me. Let Me be made large in you.

Who I Give Honor to is Honored

Proverbs 16:31 (GW) Silver hair is a beautiful crown found in a righteous life.

Beloved, embrace the sign of wisdom and experience. It is a crown of honor. Even in moments when others refuse to give honor or bring dishonor (either in ignorance or intentionally), it does not change the fact that I honor the wisdom that comes through years spent with Me. If others choose not to align, that is an indicator of their own state, not yours. For who I give honor to is honored.

{praying} Sensing a prayer over the elders that they would have grace and patience with the younger generation – as they rush about often barely pausing to breathe and who too often in arrogance refuse wise counsel – continue to gently persist in giving it, speaking words of truth and life. As you echo the Voice of heaven and His heart, your words and actions have impact whether you get to see that impact or not. Trust it is there, and continue in obedience reflecting His heart. For it is vital to the body of Christ. Your role is vital. You are a blessing. Thank you.

Giving and Receiving Honor

1 Samuel 2:30 (AMP) …But now the Lord declares, ‘Far be it from Me—for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant and contemptible.

Beloved, when you give honor where honor is due you are also honoring Me. It is a sign you recognize those I have raised up and are coming into agreement with Me. It is more powerful than you know and requires humility to walk out.

And beloved, when you are the one rightly receiving honor, remember then too you honor Me to receive it. You are coming into agreement with what (and who) I have deemed worthy of exalting. Do so with humility, but receive the honor given knowing it not only blesses Me to see you honored and acknowledged, but it also gives Me glory.

Love Well

Ephesians 4:2 (TLB) Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

Beloved, I AM glorified as you accurately reflect My character and nature – you who were created in My image. As you walk in grace, loving one another well – being patient and kind; never jealous or proud, haughty or unkind, selfish or rude; being mindful to seek other’s wellbeing and promotion above your own; rejoicing in each other’s victories and comforting in losses; and ever being loyal and steadfast – beloved, that kind of love honors Me. It demonstrates My character without a word. Those actions testify to My goodness simply by moving in the hearts of those it touches.

Actions like that bring Me glory, a glory that radiates in the spiritual realm like fireworks would in the natural. And even those who may not “see” it in the spirit can feel and respond to it – often without even realizing what they are responding to. So continue to love well, beloved, and bring Me glory. Pleased to Serve

Psalm 104:4 (VOICE) You make Your messengers like the winds; the breeze whispers Your words, Your servants are like the fire and flame.

Beloved, My hosts surround you fulfilling My commands. They carry out each of My instructions with precision and dedication, and it pleases them to do so – to serve the sons of man on My behalf.

They serve Me because they see Me in all My glory and grandeur, they know I AM God. How awesome and humbling it is for them to see you – who have seen Me as through a glass, darkly – yielded and worshipping Me with whole hearts! Yes beloved, they are pleased to serve the ones who operate in such faith.

Be aware of their presence. Be aware and know they are an extension of Me. Continue reading “Pleased to Serve”

See Yourself Rightly

Romans 12:3 (CJB) For I am telling every single one of you, through the grace that has been given to me, not to have exaggerated ideas about your own importance. Instead, develop a sober estimate of yourself based on the standard which God has given to each of you, namely, trust.

Beloved, refuse to let pride have any hold in your life. Nor let false humility take root. Seeing yourself as less than what You were created to be does just as much disservice to Me as your Creator as allowing yourself to be puffed up. Ask Me for an accurate understanding of who you are. Then when I tell you, believe Me. Allow Me to mold your understanding of yourself – what you’re capable of, who you’ve been created to be, how I see you, and who you truly are.

You have been fearfully and wonderfully made. Allowing yourself to believe that and using that which you’ve been given to its fullest honors Me. So resist the urge to hold back – whether you’re tempted to do so for fear of failure or because others are intimidated by the greatness in you or any reason in between – think only of pleasing Me, beloved. The thoughts and concerns of man should not hold more weight than Me. Trust Me. Trust My judgment in how I have created and called you. See yourself rightly and be all I have made you to be.
