Song of Joy

Psalm 30:4-5 (TPT) O sing and make melody, you steadfast lovers of God. Give thanks to him every time you reflect on his holiness! I’ve learned that his anger lasts for a moment, but his loving favor lasts a lifetime! We may weep through the night, but at daybreak it will turn into shouts of ecstatic joy.

Beloved, keep an attitude of gratitude in your heart and a song of joy on your lips. Pause and reflect, and you will see there is always something worth praising Me for. You are alive. You are breathing. You are loved. Dayenu – what I have done already is sufficient. 

Resist the urge to focus on that which discourages and tears down – that which inspires fear and disappointment. Rather be intentional to look at the beauty I’ve placed in your life – even if it is something as simple as a lovely night sky or the kindness of a stranger. May your eyes be open and alert to My goodness, and may your heartsong always be one of joy.

Fount of Life

Psalm 68:6 (VOICE) He makes a home for those who are alone. He frees the prisoners and leads them to prosper. Yet those who rebel against Him live in the barren land without His blessings and prosperity.

Beloved, you are not alone, for I AM with you. And I place you within the body of My family and give you a place of connection and peace. Prosper in this place of freedom, and zealously cultivate it by not just receiving and drawing life from its midst, but also sowing in your own precious flow. 

I have placed life within you, and you choose to pour it forth from your mouth, or not. So beloved, be intentional. Choose to be a fount of life even as you enjoy the life-giving flow of those around you. Then enjoy the beautiful harmony of what My body can be.

Those Who Know Me Rest Secure

Psalm 4:8 (VOICE) Tonight I will sleep securely on a bed of peace because I trust You, You alone, O Eternal One, will keep me safe.

Beloved, find sweet rest in Me. Know that you are safe in My hands, for I watch over My children and I never sleep or slumber. You are secure in My care. Know that I AM. 

Let My love embrace you and My strength secure you. You are safe with Me. Let Me whisper to your heart as you sleep and feel my comforting touch on your brow. Beloved, I cherish My children, and those who know Me rest secure.

Wrapped in His Loving Arms

Psalm 91:4 (TPT) His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.

Beloved, press in to Me, for I AM here for you. I have wrapped you in My loving arms and nothing can wrest you from My grip. Let Me be your strong tower, the One you run to in the storm, for I AM solid and steadfast, fully trustworthy, and My love for you knows no bounds.

I will give you grace in the hard times, and overflow you with joy in the good. Let My love be a shield and a comfort – a refuge in times of trouble, for I AM with you always, and never will I leave. You are My beloved One. My heart toward you is constant and true.

My Dominion is Everlasting

Psalm 145:13 (VOICE) Your kingdom will never end; Your rule will endure forever. [You are faithful to Your promise, and Your acts are marked with grace.]

Beloved, My dominion is everlasting. My sovereignty knows no end. There is no promise I will be unable to fulfill or whose outcome is beyond My reach. Rest in My hands. Trust your heart and hopes and dreams to Me.

Will I ignore the pleas of My children? Am I a bad father who neglects those he is called to cover and protect? Surely not! I AM slow to anger and rich in mercy, and I keep My promises from generation to generation. Trust yourself in My hands.

Ride Forth

Revelation 19:14-15 (AMP) And the armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, [dazzling] white and clean, followed Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword (His word) with which He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He will tread the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty [in judgment of the rebellious world].

There is a call from heaven to don our linen robes, climb upon our horses, and ride into war with our King. But what does Kingdom warfare truly look like? In Scripture, we see a foreshadowing of Christ through the mighty warrior King David. David drew all of his strength from God alone. God preserved David in good times and in bad and ultimately empowered David to unify the Kingdom of Israel. David had perpetual victory in battle due to his strong connection with the King of Kings. By Your Side

Psalm 23:4 (VOICE) Even in the unending shadows of death’s darkness, I am not overcome by fear. Because You are with me in those dark moments, near with Your protection and guidance, I am comforted.

Beloved, there is nothing I will not walk through with you. So in your darkest moments when you struggle to believe I’m there, rest in the knowledge I AM by your side and will not ever leave. 

So press into Me. Allow Me to sustain you and be your strength, for I AM able and I AM willing, and I AM greater than you know. Be comforted by My right hand, and guided by My eye. Trust in Me, and rest assured.

Let Joy Blossom

Psalm 5:11 (VOICE) But let those who run to You for safety be glad they did; let them break out in joyful song. May You keep them safe— their love for You resounding in their hearts.

Beloved, let joy resound in your heart. You are loved. You are seen. You are accepted – flaws and all. You are safe with Me. For My heart towards you is good, so you need never doubt My intentions toward you. 

Hiding yourself away is not where safety is found, for fear too easily grows in dark, quiet corners. So invite Me into your space. Include Me in your tender moments and times of trial. Trust Me to be a tender, safe place for you to rest. And let joy blossom as you dwell in My presence.

Make the Most of Each Day

Psalm 6:5 (VOICE) I’m alive for a reason — I can’t worship You if I’m dead. If I’m six feet under, how can I thank You?

Beloved, make the most of each day and each breath. Spend each wisely, treasuring them as the priceless gifts they are. Resist the urge to take them for granted or waste a single one. Rather cherish each with intentionality. 

Choose to pursue the talents and passions I’ve given you. Choose to build up. Choose to rejoice. Choose to bask in the beauty of My creation. Choose to praise Me. Choose to forgive and receive forgiveness. Choose to rest. Choose to love well and to speak life. Whatever you do and however you spend your moments, do so with wise intention that honors the Giver.

We Will Win the Day

Psalm 89:21 (VOICE) My strong hand will stay with him and sustain him, regardless of trial or foe. My mighty arm will be his strength and shield.

Beloved, be not concerned for the battle ahead, for victory is assured. The trials – though not easy – are surmountable with Me. Strength and character are honed in the fight, and singlemindedness of purpose. 

Embrace these blessings rather than simply longing for it to be over, which only seems to drag out the process. Trust that I AM sustaining you and My hand is at work for good, and that we will win the day.
