Power from the Secret Place

Christian’s want strategy for victory, but they don’t want to spend time in the Secret Place aka “Prayer Closet” aka “Intimacy with God” where strategy is given. I know, because I’ve been that Christian!

The call to the Secret Place requires us to STOP our lives and surrender. It’s inconvenient. But the reward is worth it.

Some Christians believe victory is FREE because Jesus said “It is finished” on the cross. But it’s NOT free. It cost Jesus His life and it will cost yours too. It costs your time, your energy, your heart, your soul, your agenda, your whole LIFE.

Through the cross Jesus OPENED THE DOOR to our Promised Land, but newsflash, we have to make the journey through that door and into that land and yes, there ARE giants in the land.

There are battles to be fought, mountains to be removed, demons to bind and cast out, temptations to resist, an evil world to overcome… and the power for all victory is only found in intimate relationship with God.

The strength and wisdom to overcome is only found in the Secret Place. The ability to walk in all that Jesus accomplished through the cross is found in daily intimate connection with HIM personally. He has something to say and we need to listen.

God gave Israel their Promised Land, but He made them go in and take it by force. It was theirs, rightly given over to them by God, but the Lord made them fight the battle. Victory was theirs when they fought right and they faced defeat when they disobeyed God.

Victory isn’t handed over to us on a silver platter. It’s given to us in a cup of Christ’s painfully shed blood and He whispers while you drink, “Will you take up YOUR cross and follow Me?” There are battles to fight. There’s a cross to carry. But God promises victory if we come to Him personally and intimately everyday.
