A Prayer in Honor of the Feast of Atonement

“Surrendered Heart” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

We come into Your presence with gratitude, my Lord.

I thank You, Father, for Your forgiveness and Your Faithfulness.

As we come into Your presence with a true heart of repentance, I pray—take away all you see that is unrighteousness and all that is an abomination in Your sight in our thoughts, in the words we utter, and in our behavior and attitude.

Show each one of us, for we all have fallen short of the glory of God in things we can not see or are not aware of. But You, Lord, are able to see all things

Reveal truth, Lord. I ask personally (even if it may be painful to look upon that which I have thought, words which I have spoken, or my behavior or attitude that was not in tune with Your Word) so that I can change with Your help and become more like You.

Remove any bondage where we might have opened the wrong door in ignorance or willfully. Wash us clean again. Purge us, and give us Your heart of compassion and love, Lord, a heart of obedience toward you at all times.

This is my prayer, Lord, in Yeshua’s precious name.

All holy days Father set up I believe should be kept and honored. We as Christians and Messianic Jews know we are not under the law but forgiven and washed in the blood of Yeshua! When Yeshua sets up His Kingdom in Jerusalem when He returns, I believe all these days will again be celebrated together as one body of believers!
