Put down the phone, the TV remote, and put the games way. Block out the distractions, and sit with Me. Just sit with Me and hear all I have to say to you. I want to tell you how much I love you, and I want to tell you all about the plans I have for you. However, you are always so busy, and sometimes you are busy doing nothing.
Beloved, My heart is for you. It aches for you, but you are everywhere else except with Me. I remember when you loved spending time with Me. You would open My word, and we would talk for hours, much to My delight! My child, I long for those days!
I understand life can be busy, and you have responsibilities to take care of. Yet if you make Me your first priority, I promise there will be plenty of time for it all— even the fun stuff you so enjoy. Come, beloved. Bring My word, and crawl up into My lap. Sit with Me. Let’s read and talk together like we used to. My word is where you will find your rest and your peace. It is where I will sing over you, tell you all the marvelous things I have in store for you, and how those plans line up with My word. It’s in these moments that you will see just how much you mean to Me and how much you are truly loved. Come, child, sit with Me.
