In the spirit, I heard the Lord say, “I keep My word.” As I repeated the words aloud in response, I felt Spirit gesture towards my lips—His words that were tumbling forth with the breath of my mouth. There was a sense of oneness, and I was reminded of Matthew 18:18-20 (NIV):
“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Romans 12:1 (AMP) Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.
{vision} I saw a woman waving her arms up and down in worship. Her eyes were closed, and I could sense she was fully enraptured and focused on God. I got the sense that as the motion of her arms was meant to symbolize the rising of incense, I could sense her soul ascending in some way and recognizing its oneness with God.Continue reading “Consecrated to God”
You may be battle-weary, beloved, and that’s because it’s time to rest. You’ve done your part, now it’s time for Papa God to do His! As you rest, the Father wants you to focus on His great love for you. There isn’t anything He wouldn’t do for you! Keep His love at the forefront of your mind when doubts arise. Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB) And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Beloved, I am present in every season of your life and fully involved in every situation you walk through. While My dwelling presence may seem more evident during times of peace and plenty, I assure you that I am with you just the same in hardship. I am faithful and have promised to never leave your side. Continue reading “I Am Present In Every Season”
Beloved, just as flowers flourish in the light of the sun, you were created to blossom in the light of My countenance. When My face is turned towards you, My blessing, favor, and honor abound towards you. Indeed, I designed your very being to respond to and flourish in My Presence. Just as creation responded to My voice in the beginning, so the potential I’ve placed within you naturally springs forth in response to My Light. Continue reading “Blossom in the Light of My Countenance”
Beloved, the weapons of war I have given you are mighty and unlike anything of this world. I call you this day to take another look in your arsenal for a weapon that is often overlooked and undervalued—the weapon of rest. Yes, there are times when you need to exercise your faith in an active, forceful manner. However, there are some wars that can only be won through quietness and confidence, the times when I call you to simply rest and trust in My Word. Continue reading “The Weapon of Rest”
One day as I was pondering the subject of fellowship, the Holy Spirit dropped a download into my spirit. A picture came to mind of a group of people gathered together for a potluck meal. However, I knew the dinner was symbolic of spiritual communion.
The Spirit highlighted the fact although this was one community meal, it had contributions from every individual. I was immediately reminded of how God has taught me that I can learn something from every person that I encounter, regardless of their age, social, cultural, or even religious differences.
More often than not, we are trained to look to people of power, status, and experience to be our teachers. We may find ourselves impressed by those who are eloquent speakers, professionals with titles, or individuals who walk in a heavy anointing. And while there is certainly knowledge and wisdom to be gained from these individuals, they are not the only vessels God can teach us through. If we are not careful, we can miss the voice of our Master speaking through the humblest vessels. Therefore, we must strive to keep our ears tuned to listen.
Countless times, God has fed me spiritual food through strangers on the street, a random YouTube video or television program, the uncanny insight of a child, or even wise words from someone of a different belief system than I. Yet it has required humility to receive from God in such a way. In John 10:27, Christ says that His sheep know His voice. When you are intimate with the Word of God—the voice of truth—you can discern that voice anywhere.
I think of the story of the Roman centurion in Matthew 8. This man wasn’t a Jew and could be considered an outsider by all accounts. And yet, he recognizes the truth when he sees it. He acknowledges Christ and the authority he walks in. And ultimately, his faith along with his insight about Christ’s authority impresses our Lord. And to this day, the centurion’s words are still teaching those of us who read the Scriptures. How incredible!
I believe that the true blessing of spiritual fellowship can be found when we recognize that everyone has something of value to bring to the table. The Holy Spirit can teach and speak through us all—and that includes you. Today, I sense Holy Spirit stirring us to listen for the Master’s voice wherever we go. Like children, let us be humble and open to learning, no matter the vessel God chooses to work through.
Matthew 8:11 (NIV) I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
{hearing} I’m going to hold the right hand of God. I’m going to have His favor.
The Father is declaring these words as a truth over you, and He desires for you to come into agreement with them. He desires for you to understand what it means to be favored in His eyes. This concept may be something that you’ve perceived with your intellect, but now Father is calling you to come up a bit higher to understand this from Heaven’s perspective. Come and know what it means to rest in God’s favor and live knowing that, in Christ, you too are seated at the right hand of the Father. Continue reading “Holding the Right Hand of God”
Psalm 69:9 (TPT) My love for you has my heart on fire! My passion consumes me for your house! Nothing will turn me away, even though I endure all the insults of those who insult you.
Beloved, attune your ear to My heart. Be so consumed with My Word and My standard of righteousness that our desires meld into one. Allow My passion to burn as a fire in your veins, and rise up as My covenant defender. Continue reading “Be My Covenant Defender”
1 Samuel 1:4-5 (ESV) On the day when Elkanah sacrificed, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters. But to Hannah he gave a double portion, because he loved her, though the Lord had closed her womb.
Just as Elkanah gave Hannah a double portion out of his great love for her, though she bore him no children, so too does My boundless love extend towards you. The place of favor you have in My heart does not need to be continually earned; there is no need, for you are inherently worth loving. My eternal desire is to show My great affections toward you and lavish you in a double portion of blessing—My Spirit and My Kingdom. Will you open your heart to fully receive what I have to give?
Though I am the giver of good gifts, a gift is of no use if it is not accepted. Therefore, I am stirring your innermost being and knocking upon the doors of your heart. Will you open to Me? Will you make room to receive your double portion?
Expand your mind, beloved. Remove the limits off of Me and off of yourself. Resist the urge to box Me in by determining what you believe I would and can do for you. For through the cross, you’ve seen how far I’m willing to go for you. I hold nothing of Myself back. As you let go of false and limiting beliefs, more of My Kingdom will begin to manifest in your life. For just as the earth draws the rain, so too will your open and believing heart draw the manifestations of My love to you in surprising new ways.
Song of Solomon 5:2 (VOICE) Her: I was sleeping, but my heart was awake when I heard a sound, the sound of my love pounding at the door. Him: Open yourself to me, my sister, my dearest, my sweet dove, my flawless beauty. My head is drenched with dew; my hair is soaked with the wetness of the night.
