If you find yourself feeling squeezed and trampled on, it probably means that God is making grape juice, and He is about to give you a new wineskin that can hold that new wine. However, this is not the time to whine.
If you are feeling pressed and crushed, God is probably pressing out new oil for your lamp. Submit to the process. It’s OK to say “Ouch!” a lot in between the shouts of “Praise the Lord! Thank you, Jesus!” Continue reading “Squeezed, Pressed, and Crushed”
“God of Compassion (El Rachum)” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art
This is a series of Prophetic Nuggets from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams that are connected by scripture / theme. It is a series of three Prophetic Nuggets based on 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 (VOICE):
All praise goes to God, Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort. He consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles. For even as His suffering continues to flood over us, through the Anointed we experience the wealth of His comfort just the same.
2 Corinthians 1:3 (VOICE) All praise goes to God, Father of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He is the Father of compassion, the God of all comfort.
Beloved, I AM Elohei khol-Nechamah -God of all Comfort, so trust your heart to Me. I AM keenly aware of the troubles that try you, and I remain by your side – sustaining you – through them all.
So be at peace. Quiet your soul. Trust that the afflictions of this world will pass, but My love remains steadfast and true. Let My love uplift you and carry you as on eagles wings. Let My hand guide you, and let My Spirit comfort you.
2 Corinthians 1:4 (VOICE) He consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles.
Beloved, in the midst of pain, I AM still with you. No hardship will scare Me away. I will use each one to grow you and strengthen your character, if you will yield to Me. Draw comfort from Me. You are not alone.
And remember as you endure the sufferings, that I have endured them as well. And when you encounter betrayal, remember I have encountered it as well. And when you’re ridiculed, misjudged, and persecuted – remember, beloved, I have been too. So draw close to Me, and in the midst of trial, find fellowship with Me.
2 Corinthians 1:5 (VOICE) For even as His suffering continues to flood over us, through the Anointed we experience the wealth of His comfort just the same.
Beloved, embrace the wealth of comfort I offer. Refuse to stay stuck in pain. Allow Me to guide you through to the other side. There is no shame in grief or in feeling things deeply. Nor is there shame in taking time to pause – in acknowledging your experience. But there comes a moment when it is time to step forward. And just as relearning to walk after a serious injury can be difficult, moving forward after an emotional blow can be equally trying. And yet, you must try. You must carry on.
Resist the urge to wallow when it comes time to step forward. Refuse to give the enemy a toehold. Trust that My strength will sustain you. Trust that My love will uplift you. And trust that I will use all the pain for good purpose; all that was intended to bring devastation, I will use to bring more life. Because I AM the giver of life, and I give it abundantly.
During a season when a dear friend was in hospice care and I was in ongoing prayer for him, Father woke me up one night with these words, “I know your first breath and your last breath.” I immediately understood He was reminding me that I didn’t need to fear because He was in control. And even more, I sensed He was reminding me that death wasn’t the last step, for He has won the victory over the grave. He guides us along life’s path. I sensed Him assuring me that He knows the beginning from the end and that the knowledge of that should fill me with comfort. As I continued to press into what I was sensing, the following word came forth. Continue reading “The End from the Beginning”
When all hell slams into your life, it’s natural to want to stare into that storm and try to figure things out… don’t. Do not look at the storm. The storm doesn’t have your answer, only your destruction. The storm has a way of sucking you in and pulling you under the moment you put your focus on it. Peter tried walking through the storm. When he kept his eyes on Jesus, he walked on water. When he looked at the storm, he sank. Do not stare at the storm. Don’t look at the problem. Look at the Problem-solver. Stare into the fiery eyes of the One who can calm that storm with one word. Yes, with one word. With Him all things are possible. He’s not afraid. He laughs at the storm. Laugh with Him.Continue reading “Look to the Problem-Solver”
God told me that He is ROARING over His children! This is why I love drawing the roaring lion. He’s roaring over you! Roaring at your enemies. Roaring at the obstacles. Roaring at the darkness. How your enemies tremble in His presence. Demonic enemies become nothing at the blast of His nostrils… the sound of His thunder drains their strength. They become dust in the wind of His mighty Spirit. God is on your side. He invites you to take comfort in the safety of His embrace while He roars over you. Accept that invitation today and the joy of the Lord will be your strength. Continue reading “Roaring”
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Rest in the knowledge that I AM on the throne. I AM in control, and I see all. I understand what you see and hear can bring much anxiety, but pay no attention to those who incite fear, hysteria, greed and anarchy. Press into me. Allow My shalom to consume you. Allow My presence to bring you to a place of comfort. I gave you my Holy Spirit to comfort you, to lead you, and to teach you. Allow Him to do what I sent Him to do. Rest in Me. Trust Me.
Periodically, I’ll feel led to do a series of Prophetic Nuggets that are connected either by scripture or theme. Since the collections themselves begin to take on an extended meaning, I wanted to share them in their collective states here (the originals are on Daily Downloads from Heaven.) This is one such grouping that was inspired by Elisa‘s Our Songs of Ascent (originally shared on her blog called Waiting in the Wings). It is a series of 15 Prophetic Nuggets based on the “Songs of Ascent” (Psalms 120-134). Continue reading “Songs of Ascent (The Steps)”
A little over 2 years ago I was in a TERRIBLE spiritual storm. Attacks from people and demons, betrayal, rejection and sickness on every side. I was fearful, anxious and stressed.Continue reading “I Am Here”
How does one deal with the swirling chaos that may surround us,
Losing focus as it blinds us?
Overwhelmed and in despair,
Seems no one stops and bothers to care. Continue reading “Rest Awaits”
