Speak Truth

Proverbs 6:16-19 (VOICE) Take note, there are six things the Eternal hates; no, make it seven He abhors: …a tongue that can’t be trusted…

Beloved, let your yes be yes and your no be no. Let your word be your bond – steadfast and reliable. Be true to your word just as I am to Mine, which I watch over to perform. You are made in My image, rightly reflect Me. Speak truth, and do so consistently and with love.

Remember your words bring forth life or death at your discretion, so choose life. Speak truth over those I place around you. The words of your mouth come from the overflow of your heart, so tend your heart with care, and take care to nurture others’ as well. Continue reading “Speak Truth”

Arm Yourself

Ephesians 6:13-17 (AMP) Therefore, put on the complete armor of God…And take…the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Beloved, arm yourself by immersing yourself in My word. How can one combat a lie – how can one even recognize it – if one does not take the time to know the truth? Without a foundation of truth, you are ill equipped to stand against the evil one, and that vulnerability is one too easily leveraged by the forces of darkness.

But when you have feasted on My word – meditating on it and allowing it to go deep within your heart – My Spirit will quicken it to your remembrance in a moment of need, a sharp-edged sword able to separate not just truth from a lie, but even the intricacies of twisted truths. Remember beloved, when My Son was tempted in the wilderness, the enemy quoted My word to him. It is not enough just to read, one must learn to understand, to know My heart. As you study, My Spirit will teach you. Intentionally unite in purpose allowing the breath of My Spirit to quicken My truth in your heart. Continue reading “Arm Yourself”

Choose Joy

Proverbs 17:22 (NLT) A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

Beloved, choose joy for it is not based on circumstance. It is found in My presence. It is always there for you and it strengthens you. Literally. It builds you up and heals your heart – and it is even healing to your body.

Refuse to be tempted to bitterness, resentment, anger, or hopelessness. Rather shift your heart to focus on that which is good – clinging to the truth of My promises in the face of opposition and being steadfast in joy when confronted with trials.

Joy is a choice. Cling to gratitude regardless of circumstance, and shift the atmosphere with your laughter for I AM good. That truth always remains. So beloved, be intentional to always choose joy. It is contagious. A blessing that spreads. Be a catalyst. Choose joy. Continue reading “Choose Joy”

Choose What is Right

Colossians 3:16 (VOICE) Let the word of the Anointed One richly inhabit your lives. With all wisdom teach, counsel, and instruct one another…

Beloved, take the time to know My word so that in the day your counsel is needed, you might advise and instruct from a foundation of wisdom rather than opinion. Let Me shape your ideals rather than the media and world around you. Refuse to be swayed by fear and popularity, instead choose what is right in My eyes.

Resist the urge to impose your views, and rather lead by example – living a life that is rich with fruit and demonstrates Who I AM. Share wisdom when it is sought, and even then give more than just counsel (which demonstrates your own wisdom) and instead explain the reasoning behind it from My word (thus helping them learn more of Me).

Identity Rooted in Truth

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (TPT) …Love does not…selfishly seek its own honor…

Beloved, you do not need to seek recognition for yourself nor strive to convince others of your value, either they will get it or not and neither is a reflection on your true value, but rather a commentary on their perception.

Who you are is rooted in truth and unchangeable, not subject to the fickle feelings of man. I AM the one who has designed you and created you for a purpose. I see every action you take, nothing is below My notice. I see and I recognize even when no one else seems to, and in the end I AM all that matters. Seek My pleasure and trust My perception. Walk in Your True Identity

1 Corinthians 13:12 (TPT) For now we see but a faint reflection of riddles and mysteries as though reflected in a mirror, but one day we will see face-to-face. My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood.

Beloved, I see you and know you. I have accepted you – you are My very own. I see you rightly – the true you. How I created you. Allow My vision of you to shape your own. For your own understanding is flawed and incomplete, but Mine is perfect – seeing through every intention and failing to the way you were created.

I have called you by name. Respond not just with acceptance but fervor, for I speak truth over you, beloved, and I would have you know it and allow it to transform you into that which you have been called to be. Walk in the fullness of your true identity.

Refuse to Overlook the High Places

2 Chronicles 20:33 (AMPC) But the high places [of idolatry] were not taken away, for the people had not yet set their hearts on their fathers’ God.

Beloved, ask Me to show you the idols in your life that you simply don’t see. Too often My people overlook the high places that have been in place for generations, allowing them to simply be part of the landscape, but My desire for you – My perfect will – is for them to be seen and torn down. Refuse to overlook the high places.

I AM the only One worthy of your worship and I AM a jealous God, I have no desire to share your affections with idols. Seek your heart, beloved, and do so in truth, allowing Me to show you things you’re holding above or apart from Me. I know your desire is to be single minded towards Me, so open your heart and still your mind and be willing for Me to bring change. It is change that will heal.

May Your Motivations Be Pure

2 Chronicles 19:9 (NET) He commanded them: “Carry out your duties with respect for the LORD, with honesty, and with pure motives.

Beloved, I desire true relationship with you not one birthed of ritual or rote obligation. Be honest not just with Me but with yourself about what drives you. I want more than obligatory actions and feelings from you, I want your whole heart.

Give with joy. Be honest with Me about your thoughts and feelings (I can handle messy – just read the Psalms!). May your motivations be pure and rooted in love – a desire to please Me because you love Me rather than of a fear of what I will do if you don’t. Trust that My heart for you is good.

Be Undeterred

Luke 18:5 (NLT) but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!

Beloved, refuse to be discouraged. Press on and press in. Stay focused on My promises and on Truth. Refuse to accept anything less. I AM the righteous judge, Elohim Mishpat. I will mete out justice according to My wisdom, which is perfect and righteous. Trust Me. Trust My ability to protect and provide, redeem and renew.

Be undeterred. I have given you the vision, refuse to align with anything short of what you have seen. Demand that heaven invade earth. Speak forth life. Prophesy truth. Take each thought captive that seeks to oppose My word – both written and Spirit-breathed. My word is truth, beloved, and I will see it to completion.

I AM Good

Psalm 143:10 (TLB) Help me to do your will, for you are my God. Lead me in good paths, for your Spirit is good.

Beloved, one truth you can always rest in is the knowledge I AM good. My heart is good. My intentions are good. My plans for you are good. The very definition of the word is based on My character: righteous, just, honorable, true, honest, upright, virtuous – I AM all this and more!

Because of all I AM, there is none more trustworthy than Me. You need not wonder if you can release your perceived control to My hands, for there is no doubt that I AM good. I cherish you and have good plans for you. They may not always be easy, but walk them through hand-in-hand with Me knowing in the end you will see they are good.
