The story of Elizabeth and Mary from Luke 1:36-55 is connected to this silk. Below are some of the key verses that were highlighted (but we suggest reading the whole story for yourself).
- Luke 1:38 (AMP) Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.”…
- Luke 1:45 (AMP) And blessed [spiritually fortunate and favored by God] is she who believed and confidently trusted that there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her [by the angel sent] from the Lord.”
- Luke 1:46-47 (AMP) And Mary said, “My soul magnifies and exalts the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
- Luke 1:50 (AMP) “And His mercy is upon generation after generation Toward those who [stand in great awe of God and] fear Him.
God transcends gender. We are created in His likeness so all our attributes come from Him. He embodies both the most masculine strength and the most feminine compassion (not that woman can’t be strong and men can’t be compassionate, but God embodies the full spectrum we see manifested in both genders).
As such, God embodies the nurturing, fierce love that we think of as being a mother’s heart. God’s mother heart is to see His children revitalized, renewed and pursuing the passion and purpose, the good deeds he prepared in advance for them to do. He wants to protect hearts and He wants to birth and bring forth the things He has planted in each one of his children.
His desire is for you. He wants to nurture you. You are His delight and He wants all there is for you. He wants to lavish new things on you. He wants to comfort you at His breast and transform you into the amazing person you are. He sees you as He made you: fulfilling all your potential and expanding and blooming under His watchful care. Watch what He’s doing and follow Him.
The following is from Hebrew Names for God – Hebrew for Christians about God’s name “El Shaddai“.
El Shaddai. The All Sufficient God.
Shad means “breast” in Hebrew…In Genesis 17:1, YHVH said to Abram: “I am El Shaddai. Walk before me and be perfect.” So why did the LORD choose to reveal Himself using this distinctive Name to Abram? Most English translations render El Shaddai as “God Almighty,” probably because the translators of the Septuagint (i.e., the Greek translation of the Old Testament) thought Shaddai came from a root verb (shadad) that means “to overpower” or “to destroy.” The Latin Vulgate likewise translated Shaddai as “Omnipotens” (from which we get our English word omnipotent). God is so overpowering that He is considered “Almighty.”
According to some of the sages, Shaddai is a contraction of the phrase, “I said to the world, dai (enough)” (as in the famous word used in the Passover Haggadah, Dayeinu — “it would have been sufficient”). God created the world but “stopped” at a certain point. He left creation “unfinished” because He wanted us to complete the job by means of exercising chesed (love) in repair of the world (tikkun olam).
Jacob’s blessing given in Genesis 49:25, however, indicates that Shaddai might be related to the word for breasts (shadaim), indicating sufficiency and nourishment (i.e., “blessings of the breasts and of the womb”). In this case, the Name might derive from the contraction of sha (“who”) and dai (“enough”) to indicate God’s complete sufficiency to nurture the fledgling nation into fruitfulness. Indeed, God first uses this Name when He refers to multiplying Abraham’s offspring (Gen. 17:2).
Several Prophetic Nuggets from our Dyed4you Ministries blog are connected to this. The first is called “Be Fruitful and Multiply.”
Isaiah 53:2 (NLT) My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him.
Beloved, like My Son, grow in My presence. Like a tender shoot, I will protect you from the elements and nurture you to your full potential. For I see you even now as a grown tree – full and lush, bearing much fruit – the capacity for life within you is great, be mindful to cultivate that growth, to nourish it with My word, water it with My Spirit, and fortify it with My presence.
For the life within you is greater than just yourself. Allow it to multiply and bring forth increase. Be fruitful and multiply. Refuse to allow yourself to become dry and withered. Find the time – indeed make the time – do whatever it takes to carry what I AM bringing forth through you to full term. Behold I AM doing a new thing, will you not know it? [Sensing Him smiling as He asks because He already knows you will say yes – a thousand times yes]
The second Prophetic Nugget connected to this is called “I AM Your True North.”
1 Peter 1:25 (TLV) But the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was proclaimed as Good News to you.
Beloved, My word endures forever. From everlasting to everlasting I remain. I AM steadfast and sure – unchanging and completely dependable. You can rely on Me. I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever. Those around you may disappoint and shift like sand, but I remain the same.
I AM your truth north – your touch point, your anchor. Let Me be your firm foundation in a world ever changing. Fear has no place as you put your trust in Me for I AM El Shaddai, the All-Sufficient One, and I fiercely love and protect My children. My heart towards them – towards you – is unchanging and wholly loyal. Rest in the shadow of My wings for there you will find peace.
A final Prophetic Nugget from our Dyed4you Ministries blog is connected to this. It is called “Increase Comes Through Me.”
John 15:4 (GW) Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.
Beloved, increase comes from Me. Stay firmly rooted. Life can only come from the source. Draw from Me. Drink deeply from My living water – the flow of My Spirit – be saturated in My presence and allow that rich, life-giving atmosphere to bring forth much fruit.
Deep wells pouring forth, gurgling up from deep within you as My Spirit stirs and hovers over you as you rest and dwell in My presence. Behold, I AM doing a new thing, will you not know it? [I sense Him smiling as He asks that as though He knows already of COURSE you will want to know it.] New life – increase – is coming. Increase is here.
Isaiah 43:19 (VOICE) Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; Waters will flow where there had been none.
John 4:10-14 (NKJV) Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? “Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
{sensing} The Lord is drawing you and calling you to draw from Him the Source of all life. Earthly wells will never do for you, only the true Source will do. The earth is dry and barren and it needs His living waters. Will you seek the King’s refreshing above all else? Drink deeply from Him, let yourself become utterly dependent. Have no fear in abandoning yourself fully to your Maker. Let yourself become as a sponge for these living waters, and receive all that He has for you. The lesson to be learned is that Christ is man’s sufficiency.
Do not fret if it seems like He has pulled you away from the thick of things. Do not doubt your commission when He calls you to come away with Him. When He calls His own to the sidelines it is for a time of expanding and refreshing. For when He has finished with you, you will have great understanding and great depth in Him. He will send you forth in His name. At this point, you will have absorbed so much of His life-giving qualities that you will find that you are a life-giver too. Babes in Christ who are thirsty for His Word will come to you for they will know that the King abides in you.
It has been prayed over and anointed with the Scent of Heaven’s Faithful oil as an acknowledgment of one the Father declares as faithful. “I call you faithful,” says the Lord. Your mind inquires, “how can that be? How can I be called faithful?” The Lord says, “I call you faithful. Faithful in heart to me, you will always be.” The scripture that goes with this oil is, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2
Similar to the cedar in the Faith oil, the tree(s) in this scent represent the tree-like stability that one who is faithful demonstrates. This oil also brings to mind the lyrics from Justin Rizzo’s song called “Found Faithful“.
I want to run the race, I want to keep the faith. Help me win the prize of the knowledge of You I want to be found faithful, I want to be found steady. I want to be found faithful until the end Don’t want to be ashamed the day I see Your face. Keep my footsteps firm, hold me in Your grace I want to live before Your eyes, I want to stay before Your gaze. Just keep me steady here (for all my days)
We pray it blesses you!
