Fostering Deeper Intimacy with God
And suddenly there’s a break in the clouds and rays of light burst through in heavenly glory. May you see things that were previously masked, dimmed, or hidden. May the light lift you and take you higher. May you feel an unburdened lightness to your soul. Arise and go higher.
Beloved, remember that you are a child of the Light, and darkness is powerless against the light. Darkness cannot say to light, “I refuse to go” or “I insist that I dim your blaze” because light trumps darkness. It’s not a fight for light to overtake darkness, but rather light expands simply because of the nature of what light is: light.
So remember your identity as a child of the day—a child of light. Walk in the fullness of that power unafraid knowing that you are equipped simply by the nature of who you are and how you are made. So be light, beloved. Be light.
Matthew 5:14 (NLT) “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
Genesis 1:14-15 (AMP) Then God said, “Let there be light-bearers (sun, moon, stars) in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be useful for signs (tokens) [of God’s provident care], and for marking seasons, days, and years; and let them be useful as lights in the expanse of the heavens to provide light on the earth”; and it was so, [just as He commanded].
1 Timothy 6:12 (AMP) Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses.
There is a time and a season for everything. Knowledge cannot change what time is sent to do. We need to stand firm in what time and season God has called us to and not waver from the promises He has established. He will fulfill those promises and bring them to pass as long as we stand firm in His truth and the knowledge that He is trustworthy. Continue reading “Marking the Seasons”
I have been quietly working and spending time with our Lord.
Yesterday, I strolled in our garden as the sunset, and I gave thanks to the Lord for all He is in our lives. I noticed the beautiful light that was cast on our garden and its flowers. The sun bathes our garden every day, but there was a mesmerizing new light that filled my spirit with a new spiritual expectation. It was beautiful!
I heard Him say, “Capture the moment.” And as I looked through the viewfinder I could see much more…
Matthew 5:14-16 (AMP) “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
Ephesians 5:8-9 (TPT) Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with him. Your light, Father, it calls to us – like a lighthouse on a bank surrounded by a body of water. It may be the very dark of night and the storm may be raging around us, but the beacon of hope is shining out. Having spent nearly a decade and a half in ministry, one of the travesties I’ve seen over and over is people believing they are less than they are. When I look at them, I see a lion, but when they look in the mirror they believe they’re seeing just a kitten – powerless and ineffectual. I’m not sure why we all seem to have an inclination to believe the worst of ourselves and the the truth is hard to receive, but it seems to be the case.
And yet in truth though we may believe the worst, on some level we HOPE that we are wrong. We HOPE that we truly are powerful and able to make a difference. What we fear is failing in that capacity. So we unconsciously come into agreement with the lies we’ve been told about ourselves (or had reflected to us), and decide to live smaller than our call. Thinking somehow this is safer. And yet, doing so leaves us feeling unfulfilled and robs the world of the blessing we are meant to be. Continue reading “Choose to Be a Luminary”
The glory of the throne room exists outside of space and time, beloved. The door in the spirit realm stands open – waiting, an invitation for you to step in. Immerse yourself in My presence. Saturate yourself in My glory.
Value Me – value My presence – as the greatest gift imaginable. Just as I have held nothing back in My pursuit of you, hold nothing back in your pursuit of Me.
