Mantle of the Firstborn

“God of Wonders” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

John 5:19 (VOICE) Jesus: The truth is that the Son does nothing on His own; all these actions are led by the Father. The Son watches the Father closely and then mimics the work of the Father.

My child, you are one that faithfully follows in My footsteps. As a child who delights in mimicking the actions of their father, you have also delighted in closely watching and keeping My ways. It fills My heart with such joy to see that you love the things that I love and have matured into My image and likeness as a result. You dwell in childlike faith, trust, and innocence, so much so that you often do not see just how much of Me there is in you. In you, child, I am well pleased. Speak Life (Ezekiel 37)

James 3:9-11 (VOICE) Ironically this same tongue can be both an instrument of blessing to our Lord and Father and a weapon that hurls curses upon others who are created in God’s own image. One mouth streams forth both blessings and curses. My brothers and sisters, this is not how it should be. Does a spring gush crystal clear freshwater and moments later spurt out bitter salt water?

Beloved, would you be a vessel for darkness? And yet the temptation to speak the things of darkness into existence is strong, but you are stronger. So refuse to give in to bitterness and anger, jealousy and hatred, greed and destruction. Look to the root that wants to bear such fruit and invite Me to move. Then as you trust My sovereignty, watch as I bring forth beauty from ashes and give joy for mourning. Continue reading “Speak Life (Ezekiel 37)”

Blessing from Obedience

When you yield yourself to be My vessel, it ministers not only to the one you pour out to, but to you as well. So pour out from your overflow with generosity and wisdom. Trust My direction on when to speak and when to be silent. Resist the urge to defend that which I have given you to say, instead allowing My words to stand on their own. For I will not beg for someone to believe Me, nor will I pressure them to take action on My counsel.  Continue reading “Blessing from Obedience”

Watching the Blessings Form

{sensing} A calm before a storm. Not a wild, out-of-control thunderstorm. But a nice, heavy spring rain. When you can see the storm clouds forming all afternoon. Watching the skies darken for hours. Knowing what is coming is going to be the first rain of the season and will water the earth and bring forth a bountiful harvest. A blessing, but not a surprise. Let the rain come, be ready for it, because with great blessing comes a task to be done. Continue reading “Watching the Blessings Form”

Have Faith in My Path

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

When I set you on a path, beloved, remember that I am there with you to see My plans through. All that is required on your part is to walk in the power of your faith in Me. At times, you may find the journey to be difficult because you cannot see all the details of My plan. I have given you the destination, yet I alone know all the twists and turns in your journey. Walk along this course being certain that you will see My goodness. I urge you to yield your expectations over the details to Me. Instead, adopt an attitude of childlike wonder over this adventure. By doing so, you will be able to maintain your peace and security in Me. Continue reading “Have Faith in My Path”

The Blessing of Wisdom

Proverbs 3:13 (TPT) Those who find true wisdom obtain the tools for understanding, the proper way to live, for they will have a fountain of blessing pouring into their lives. To gain the riches of wisdom is far greater than gaining the wealth of the world.

Beloved, seek the blessing of wisdom, for it is of more value than riches. The insight it brings serves as a most valuable companion in all areas of life. So seek it, value it, and demonstrate wisdom by implementing it.

Draw deeply from the well of wisdom, for sweet are her waters. They bring life and the key to its abundance. Refuse to settle for simply the opinions of man, and instead relentlessly pursue the wisdom that comes from Me alone.

Take the Limits Off of Me

John 16:24 (TPT) Until now you’ve not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!

Beloved, I AM a good Father who loves His children. Do you think a young child hesitates from asking their beloved earthly parent for anything their heart desires? Or that the parent of the cherished little one doesn’t weigh each request with reverence, desiring deeply to bless the child they love?

So beloved one, ask! Resist the urge to edit your requests, and instead pour out your heart’s desires to Me – trusting Me with those secret thoughts. If I withhold, it is not from a place of rejection or any lack of love, for My desire to bless you is beyond your comprehension. So take the limits off of Me and ask.

My Powerful Hand

Psalm 44:2 (VOICE) With a powerful hand, You drove the nations from this land, but then You planted our parents here. You fought for us against people of this land; You set our parents free to enjoy its goodness.

Beloved, in my mercy I created a place for you. I carved out somewhere for you to belong. In my strength – the power of My right hand, I make way for you and bring you blessing. Why then are you tempted to move in your own strength? Why then do you strive to make your own way?

You are Mine, beloved, and I take care of My children. Rest in Me. Trust in My strength and provision. Allow Me to lead you that you might know – in good times and in bad – I AM your God.

Those Who Trust Me Will Not Be Put to Shame

Psalm 2:12 (VOICE) …blessings await all who trust in Him. They will find God a gentle refuge.

Beloved, regardless of who may have hurt you in days past, I’m not them. I AM faithful and true, and I fiercely guard My children. Rest in Me and trust Me to have you’re best interests at heart – even when you cannot see it.

Those who trust in Me will not be put to shame, for I cover them with My blessings and walk with them through each trial. The presence of hardships in your life does not mean I’m not faithful, for character and faith are built in those moments. But know I AM with you – sustaining you through your darkest hours, and I promise joy comes in the morning. So trust in Me.
