We shook our heads. All of us were stunned— the Eternal has done remarkable things for us. We were beyond happy, beyond joyful. Those who walk the fields to sow, casting their seed in tears, will one day tread those same long rows, amazed by what’s appeared. Those who weep as they walk and plant with sighs Will return singing with joy, when they bring home the harvest.
20 years ago I saw Jesus face to face. His eyes were orange and yellow fire…I was drawn to gaze into the intense flames in His eyes. Gazing intimately into the eyes of Jesus is the place of deliverance and peace. Continue reading “Eyes of Fire”
We may not always expect our place of preparation to be a pit as it was for Joseph (starting in Genesis 37), but such was certainly the case for me in my walk.Something my son Jonathan said to me some time ago comes to my mind a lot. As I enter the room I can see a figure banging on the wall with bare hands like they are trying to break through. Continue reading “Complete Surrender”
I have always been fascinated by God’s words to the Israelites concerning the process by which He would empower them to dispossess the promised land of the nations that were there:
Deuteronomy 7:21-22 (VOICE) So don’t be so terrified of these other nations—the Eternal your God is with you. He’s a great and awesome God! But He will drive out these nations ahead of you only little by little. You won’t be able to finish them off all at once because if you did, the wild animals would reproduce rapidly in the empty land and that would be dangerous.
