The Two Faces of Victory

I’ve always been intrigued by the two animals that symbolize our mighty Savior—the lion and the lamb. As far as Messianic references go, these two animals seem like they couldn’t be more different from one another. One is the fierce king of the jungle, while the other is the docile and innocent vessel of atonement. While the lion and the lamb may seem very different, I believe they perfectly represent the two faces of victory in the Kingdom of Heaven—the two faces of our Messiah. Christ is both suffering servant and conquering king.

Like the Jews of the first century, modern believers look with hope for the Son of David, the one who will set up a godly kingdom which will fill the whole earth. Many of us groan within to see the kingdom of darkness fully expelled by our mighty Warrior King. If His ancestor King David foreshadowed Christ’s second coming, what power can withstand Him when the God of the Universe backs Him?

Obedient Devotion

Proverbs 1:7 (TPT) How then does a man gain the essence of wisdom? We cross the threshold of true knowledge when we live in obedient devotion to God. Stubborn know-it-alls will never stop to do this, for they scorn true wisdom and knowledge.

Beloved, live in obedient devotion to Me. Comb through My Word, and discover what true obedience looks like, then walk in it. Resist the urge to dismiss that which you don’t understand. Instead inquire of My Holy Spirit for clarity, and truly learn of Me.

Embrace wisdom, for true wisdom comes from Me. Remember My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are My ways your ways. Expect the unexpected, and trust My ability to lead as you seek to humbly submit. That, beloved, is the essence of wisdom. Continue reading “Obedient Devotion”

Boldness Birthed in the Quiet Place

Acts‬ ‭4:31‬ ‭(AMP) And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.

Beloved, boldness is birthed in the quiet place. Godly boldness doesn’t come from being brash or needing to be the center of attention. It is birthed in a place of yielded humility – one of beautiful intimacy with Me.

In intimacy, My nature is increasingly revealed. And as I’m known, faith in Me is the result. And from that firm foundation of faith, grows a holy boldness that is earth-shaking. When I meet with My children, they cannot help but be changed. And those who have been radically changed cannot keep it to themselves because such truth is too beautiful not to share.

So meet with Me. Yield in humility. Allow Me to shake you – to realign you and empower you for My good work. Then watch what I will do through you as we change the world together. Continue reading “Boldness Birthed in the Quiet Place”

Ignite the World in My Glory

Luke 10:19 (AMP) Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.

Beloved, human mind cannot fully comprehend the power of My Spirit. And yet, as you yield to Me and allow My power to work in and through you, the work of My Spirit is accomplished through human vessels.

The supernatural is natural to Me. My children should expect to walk in My power – not in a way that puffs up human pride, but in a way that glorifies Me and expands My Kingdom.

So be expectant for Me to move. Be expectant for My authority to be entrusted to My children. In humility, yield to My Spirit and watch how together we will move – igniting the world in My glory.  Continue reading “Ignite the World in My Glory”

Rending the Heavens with Humility

Proverbs 22:4 (TPT) Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward.

Beloved, surrender your will to Mine. Lay it down as a humble, heartfelt offering before the One who made you. True power and authority does not come in human strength, but in your ability to yield to the One who wields all power – the One who is sovereign: Me.

So rend the heavens with humility as you lay down your life as a pleasing offering before Me. Then watch as I move in power – in and through you – bringing life, prosperity, and honor to the one who chose to honor Me first. Delight in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart, beloved. So delight in Me.

Working in Unity

Ecclesiastes 4:9 (VOICE) Two are better than one because a good return comes when two work together.

Beloved, lay aside any pride that insists you “do it on your own,” and instead be open to partnering with those I connect you with. Then see the increased results of your labor.

It is not weakness to join with others, nor is it an indication that you are lacking. I have created each of you with specific strengths and giftings, so play to each other’s strengths. Make room for each other’s giftings. Then celebrate the outcome working in unity brings.

Avoid Fruitless Arguments

Romans 12:18 (GW) As much as it is possible, live in peace with everyone.

Beloved, refuse to be drawn into fruitless arguments. They achieve no purpose but to create division and disunity. There will be moments to make a stand, but most moments are more fruitful when handled with humility and grace.

Love changes a heart far more effectively than the strongest argument, and it does so with peace. So first and foremost, interact with others from a place of love. In humility, seek to hear their hearts and respond with grace. Create an atmosphere of harmony, and from that base of relationship, deeper conversation can take place.

Walking in Humble Authority

“The Alabaster Jar” (Featuring the Hebrew letter dalet)

Acts 3:6 (VOICE) Peter: I want to give you something, but I don’t have any silver or gold. Here’s what I can offer you: stand up and walk in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, the Anointed One.

In the ancient pictograph language, the Hebrew letter dalet represents a door or an impoverish and humble man. It is preceded by the letter gimel which is representative of a camel or rich man. Within this area of the Hebrew alphabet, there is the picture of a rich man who stoops down (like a camel with a burden) to give to a poor and humble man. It is the picture of our relationship with God and our relationship with our fellow man. It is also a powerful key to flowing in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Season of Breakthrough

Isaiah 61:2 (VOICE) He has sent me to announce the year of jubilee, the season of the Eternal’s favor: for our enemies it will be a day of God’s wrath; For those who mourn it will be a time of comfort.

Beloved, the time for mourning is past. Embrace the season of breakthrough with all the joy of a new day. Those that come against you shall fail, and those who stand beside you will prosper.

Resist the urge to rejoice in the defeat of your enemies. Instead pray that they would choose more wisely – that all may see, know, and embrace truth, and walk in the freedom of righteousness.
