Quiet Yourself and Listen

Psalm 27:4 (TPT) Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.

Beloved, in the beauty of our intimacy I cherish all you share with Me even as you are called to revere all I share with you. When you love and respect someone, you value their thoughts and dreams, requests and petitions. So I take great pleasure in yours.

There’s no need to guard your heart from Me, beloved, for your heart is safe in My hands. I love you, and what matters to you, matters to Me. Can you say the same? Be sure to take the time to sit, quiet yourself, and listen. Resist the urge to rush Me to speak. Wait upon Me, and delight in My glory and grace as you gaze upon the beauty of My face.

Immerse Yourself in Me

John 17:17 (VOICE) Immerse them in the truth, the truth Your voice speaks.

Beloved, saturate yourself in My word. In the same way you get to know people in your life by spending time with them, you will come to know Me with greater understanding the more time you spend with Me and in My word.

Listen for My voice. Be slow to speak, for I know your heart, so be intentional to pause and be still. Wait on Me. Abide with Me. Dwell in My presence. I AM with you always, be intentional to tune in to My frequency. Immerse Yourself in Me.

Bridle Your Tongue and Love Like Me

James 1:19 (VOICE) Listen, open your ears, harness your desire to speak, and don’t get worked up into a rage so easily, my brothers and sisters.

Beloved, be intentional to bridle your tongue. Resist the urge to vent your frustrations and instead cultivate peace so the frustration won’t come as easily. Like a muscle that can be trained and strengthened, you can increase your ability to hold onto your inner peace. Press into My Spirit. Allow Me to bring you shalom – the peace that wars against chaos – in every circumstance.  What you feed will grow. Will you feed the frustration or feed the peace?

Listen, beloved. Hear beyond people’s hurts and pride. Hear what is underneath them. Listen with My ears and hear with My heart. See the wounds and brokenness that cause the behavior. Be moved with compassion. Pray for them. Demonstrate My love instead of reacting to offense. Choose to love like Me, and walk in peace and unshakable joy. Godly Patience, a Tangible Love

Galatians 5:22 (AMP) But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is…patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting]…

Beloved, remember that your actions reflect on Me. Whether you are aware or not, people watch to see how you react and respond to people and situations. They want to know if relationship with Me and My presence in a person really make a difference. Pause and ponder what messages you send about Me and if they’re the ones you want and intend to send.

I’ve instructed you to bear with one another in love. Just as I AM patient and long-suffering with you, I have asked you to do likewise with those around you. Reflect Me. Reflect My heart. Show that the fruit of My Spirit in you is a godly patience that operates in true, tangible love. Let that fruit be manifest for all to see for it is good.  Continue reading “Godly Patience, a Tangible Love”

Cultivate the Peace of My Presence

Galatians 5:22 (AMP) But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is…[inner] peace…

Beloved, the quiet that you find inside is from Me. Seek it. Cultivate it. Cultivate the quiet that exudes – that shalom that others can feel. It is a tangible and comforting presence, like a deep exhale – rest for the tired and soul weary. My peace isn’t a passive presence – it wars against chaos – much like light dispels darkness, My peace dispels chaos and stress.

So find that place within you where I reside. Cultivate and enlarge its footprint in your life. Make room. Make way. Open the doors for Me to flood you with the peace of My presence. Then dwell there, refusing to be moved regardless of circumstances or the world around you. I AM peace and I AM with you. Watch and pray.

Cultivate Relationship with Me

Luke 10:41-42 (GW) The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha! You worry and fuss about a lot of things. There’s only one thing you need. Mary has made the right choice, and that one thing will not be taken away from her.”

Beloved, don’t allow yourself to get distracted by busyness. There will always be many good, worthwhile activities, but I have not called you to them all. Relationship with Me is more important than anything you could be doing, so make the time to cultivate it. Choose the better part – time with Me – and it will not be taken from you.

Remember that I AM the vine and you are a branch.  I AM your source of life. Draw from Me that you might bear fruit and bear it abundantly. Abide in Me. Dwell and rest in My presence that you might know Me and hear My voice clearly. Then you will know that you know your time is not wasted on fruitless activities because I will direct you. Rest in Me and bear fruit. Continue reading “Cultivate Relationship with Me”

Carry an Atmosphere of Peace

Psalm 5:3 (AMP) In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

Make time to meet with Me, beloved. Come sit with Me. Wait on Me. Listen for My voice. Start your day with a pause. Allow My shalom – the peace that wars against chaos – to settle in your heart and mind. Start your day in that place of quiet, tuned into My frequency. Learn to find that place quickly and stay there.

Carry that quiet with you throughout your day. The enemy will seek to shatter it, but hold fast to it and to Me. It is your Inheritance, it belongs to you and is your right. He cannot take it away, only you can release it. So don’t let go. Hold fast and walk in peace, shifting the atmosphere around you to align with that peace rather than aligning to its chaos. Find Me in that place and hold on tight, I AM with you always.

I AM Your Shelter

James 1:2-3 (TLV) Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

Beloved, don’t shy away from hardships, rather seek Me in the midst of them. I AM the One who calms the storms and brings peace. I AM the One who brings beauty from ashes. Look to Me. I AM your ever-present help in times of trouble and I AM always with you. Quiet your spirit and seek Me. I AM your shelter in the storm, your cleft in the rock. And I AM working all things for good. I AM.

The Joy of My Presence

Psalm 16:11 (VOICE) Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.

In My presence is fullness of joy! Receive My presence. Welcome My presence. Make a place for Me. Prepare for Me. I desire to meet with you, to dwell with you. When you are receiving important guests into your home, you prepare: clean and tidy up your home and your person. In the same way, intentionally carve out time, quiet your internal landscape, still your mind, set aside distractions, and make room for Me. My presence is a gift to you. One that brings peace and joy, refreshing and wholeness. It is not a “quick fix”, but a relationship built over time that bears much fruit. Prepare a place for Me, beloved, and I will come.
