Sow with Peace

James 3:18 (VOICE) The seed that flowers into righteousness will always be planted in peace by those who embrace peace.

Peace is the currency of Heaven! Each step that you take or consider taking, pause first, and take an inventory of your motive… The motives of our heart are so crucial for the outcome of our actions.

Even if someone hurt us, return your response to their action with peace and love! Our biggest weapon against enemy attacks is LOVE. Continue to sow love with peace, and righteousness will flow from it. You are God’s righteousness through Christ! Remember that.

Joyful Tears

Harvest Joy” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

Psalm 126:5 (NIV) Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.

You have sown many tears over the years and too often you can’t see if it’s harvest will actually come, but know and trust that Papa is working even when we can’t see it. The waiting time that comes after planting the seed and having to water it and having no control over the weather conditions and how they will affect the crops while they grow is not in our control. That is however, the most important time. That’s when our faith and trust in the Father grows. Continue reading “Joyful Tears”

Barren No More

I am awakened by the sound of the wind. How I got to the wilderness I don’t know, but I am keenly aware of the ground beneath me. It’s dry and cracked with no life at all. I lift my eyes to look around and all I see is dry, barren, cracked ground. The wind sends the dust from the ground to and fro. I shield my eyes from the bright sun and the dust of this harsh landscape.  Continue reading “Barren No More”

Plant the Seed

Mark 4:30-32 (NIV) Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

So often we find ourselves in situations where we can’t see how we could possibly have any impact… Well, I encourage you to keep in mind that our purpose is to just plant the seed!

A seed will grow with time into it’s fullness. We should always remember that growth starts at the roots, underneath the surface where it can’t be seen. Trees, flowers, plants all grow at different speed, the same goes for a seed that we are called to plant in someone’s life! We may not get the benefit of reaping it’s harvest BUT we can know for certain that it will take root!

Trust Me to Do What is Good

Psalm 89:14 (VOICE) Your rule is rooted deeply in justice and righteousness— unfailing love and truth lead from the way ahead of You.

Beloved, I AM full of love and rich in mercy. I AM truth and fully trustworthy. Rely on Me. I will not be mocked, those that sow shall surely reap. Will I allow one who sows that which is evil to reap that which is good? That would be an injustice.

Trust Me to do what is right. Trust Me to see and know. Trust Me to hear and respond to the cries of My people, for I AM a good God and righteous and just. Trust Me to do what is good.

The Currency of Prayer (Faith)

Luke 18:1 (VOICE) He told them a parable, urging them to keep praying and never grow discouraged…

Beloved, refuse to grow discouraged if I seem slow to answer. Is that not the essence of faith? Continue sowing the currency of prayer, waiting expectantly for things to move and shift as a result. I will not be mocked, that which you sow surely shall you reap. So sow abundantly that you might also reap an abundant harvest.

Resist the urge to be discouraged by the evidence of what you see in the natural realm. The changes you long for may have yet begun in the spiritual realm long before they manifest on earth. So refuse to give up. Refuse to lose heart. Be like the persistent widow, beloved, and persist! Act in faith and believe.  Continue reading “The Currency of Prayer (Faith)”

Stay the Course

Psalm 30:5 (VOICE) His wrath, you see, is fleeting, but His grace lasts a lifetime. The deepest pains may linger through the night, but joy greets the soul with the smile of morning.

Beloved, though the seasons of labor may seem endless, and the tears of hardship feel overwhelming, rest in the truth that your labor is not in vain. Stay the course with tenacious intention, and wait in steadfast expectancy for the harvest to come bringing with it much rejoicing.

Allow the stretching seasons of waiting to mold and shape your character. Stand on the promises you know to be truth and refuse to be moved. My grace is sufficient, beloved, and it is everlasting. I AM with you in both the trials and the joy, know that each season carries its own blessing and receive each one with joy.

The Coming Harvest

Psalm 126:6 (VOICE) Those who weep as they walk and plant with sighs Will return singing with joy, when they bring home the harvest.

Beloved, I have seen your tearful sowing and know well the cost and your pain. But just as I have assured you that “Weeping may go on all night, but in the morning there is joy.*” So you may also be encouraged that harvest will surely come.

I will not be mocked, that which you sow you shall most surely reap, so sow with wisdom and intention – knowing the cost is well worth the multiplication that is to come.

Key to the Kingdom: Act in Humble Obedience

1 Corinthians 15:58 (VOICE) My dear brothers and sisters, stay firmly planted—be unshakable—do many good works in the name of God, and know that all your labor is not for nothing when it is for God.

Beloved, keep your hands to the labor I have entrusted to you. Be not moved by what you see (or don’t see) in the natural, for I see the hearts of all and I instruct you accordingly. Simply respond in humble obedience trusting that your labor is not in vain and that My work will be accomplished in My perfect time.

In seed time and at harvest, I AM still God. Trust Me when the fruit is ripe and when the growth is occurring by faith beneath the surface. In every moment I AM at work and My presence is made known. Trust your hope in My hands, for I AM faithful.
