For Glory and Beauty

In His Marvelous Light” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

{introduction} God desires for us to treat ourselves with dignity. He believes we are worth taking care of and wants us to reflect the same attitude towards ourselves. For me, this came in the form of clothing, but for each of us, it is different. What is important is that our heart is to cherish and treat with care God’s creation, which in this instance is ourselves. With that introduction, this is the vision and download God imparted to me.

{vision} I saw a woman putting a fine scarf over her shoulders. The scarf was the color of a purple iris, and I sensed this symbolized a mantle of royalty.

When I received this vision of a woman clothing herself with a fine scarf, it brought to mind how Holy Spirit has often encouraged me to take greater care in how I dress. It has been a repeated lesson throughout my life, and it has always been a vehicle for restoring my sense of dignity.

I remember the first time this lesson arose. I was dealing with a chronic illness at the time, and there seemed like there was no end in sight. Anyone who deals with a chronic illness knows that sometimes it’s just easier to stay in your pajamas or sweats all day. And particularly if you stay home all the time, there seems to be little point in “dressing up.”

However, I remember the thought that stirred in my spirit one day: if I could accomplish nothing else each day, at the very least I could get up, get dressed, and do my hair. And so that’s what I did. Even if I was staying home all day and did nothing else but rest, I made an effort to at least dress myself and do my hair every day. Sometimes I would even put on jewelry if it was a better day.

Over time, I was amazed at how this simple practice helped my mood. As a result, it’s a practice that has stayed with me ever since. Even though I had good and bad days physically, I realized a part of me felt neglected when I wasn’t making an effort to cloth myself properly. We may not realize it but loving and caring for our outward man, communicates something to our inward man.

Just as children will feel neglected if their parents don’t attend to their basic needs, the same is true for us as adults in how we treat ourselves. We can feel unloved and devalued when we neglect ourselves. Sometimes in saying, “It’s just not worth the effort,” we actually believe, “I’m just not worth the effort.”

The difficulty is that in some areas of Christendom, all emphasis is placed on our spirit man, often to the determent of our outer man. We are called to be humble versus ostentatious. We are warned not to give in to the lusts of the flesh. And while it is very important that we not let the flesh rule over us, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 calls us to glorify God in our body as well as our spirit. So the key is that we must find balance in walking in humility without completely stripping ourselves of our God-given dignity.

In Exodus 28, as part of His instructions for the building of the tabernacle, God commands Moses to make holy garments for Aaron and his sons. Scripture says that these garments were for setting Aaron and his sons apart (consecrating them), and they were for “glory and beauty.” Here the priests of tabernacle (and later the Temple), the spiritual leaders of Israel were invested in garments that were meant to set them apart and reflect the importance of their spiritual status!

I don’t bring this example up as a call for us all to go out and make special priestly garments for ourselves. For now, I am presenting it as part of a challenge I sense from the Holy Spirit. We are kings and priests in the Kingdom of God, and we are also the living tabernacle of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is challenging us to search our hearts and our lives—what are the areas where you have been neglecting to care for your outer man, your home, your possessions, maybe even your family in a way that reflects the heart of God?

(Note: Again, this challenge isn’t confined to how one dresses. Let Holy Spirit lead you to identify which areas of your outer life that you may be neglecting and have fallen into disrepair. He knows your heart best and knows what there is grace for you to address. For example, He may be nudging you to wash your car on a more consistent basis, or replace worn furniture or appliances in your home, or pamper yourself with a new skincare routine.)

Through the Spirit, our Heavenly Father has bestowed “glory and beauty” upon us. We have a royal investment as sons and daughters of the Most High. God loves and values us. And while our Father asks us to walk in humility, we must take care to discern the difference between humility and degradation in our outer life. May our hearts be stirred to live and care for ourselves with the same respect and honor that we would give others in the kingdom of heaven.

Exodus 28:2, 40 (NKJV) “And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty…. For Aaron’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Wisdom (Proverbs 3) – Part II

Quest for Wisdom” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

This is part II in a series of Prophetic Nuggets from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams that are connected by scripture / theme and were birthed over an 18-month period. It is a set of Prophetic Nuggets based on Proverbs 3 (the Wisdom chapter) separated into six parts and 29 downloads.

PART II is based on  Proverbs 3:5-8 (VOICE):

“Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions. Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish, and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead. And don’t think you can decide on your own what is right and what is wrong. Respect the Eternal; turn and run from evil. If you depend on Him, your body and mind will be free from the strain of a sinful life, will experience healing and health, and will be strengthened at their core.”

The first Prophetic Nugget is called “Unshakable Foundation.”

Proverbs 3:5 (VOICE) Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely; never depend upon your own ideas and inventions.

Beloved, trusting Me creates an unshakable foundation. For I AM steadfast and secure, a stronghold never broken. So rest in Me completely, and yield to My ways. Trust in Me to lead you, for I will guide you in love. For I know how you are wired, and I know what is to come. I know how best to prepare you, and I know how best to support you. I know what is for the good, for I see everything.

Trust in Me to lead you, and yield your ways to Me. When you choose My plans over those of your own, you choose in fact the surest path. For I remain the same always, and My love for you will never fade. So yield and rest wholeheartedly, and trust that I will lead you well.

The second Prophetic Nugget is called “Honor to You {Moments with God}.”

Proverbs 3:6 (VOICE) Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish, and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead.

{Speaking to God} Lord, I give praise to You for every success – for every failure too. Because perceived win or loss matters not, it’s the success of the lessons I’m to learn that matters most to You. I can release any tendency towards perfectionism, for in the end it’s worth naught if I do everything “right” but miss the parts that are most important to You.

{Declaring} So I will yield to You fully, and put all honor in Your hands. For You are worthy of all praise. So to You be all the glory, for its Your hand that leads me. I entrust myself to You, and I rest in Your embrace.

The third Prophetic Nugget is called “Trust Me to Lead You Rightly.”

Proverbs 3:7 (VOICE) And don’t think you can decide on your own what is right and what is wrong. Respect the Eternal; turn and run from evil.

Beloved, human judgment is influenced by opinions and bias, which makes it faulty. Even those who attempt to be scrupulous can still err, despite honest and earnest efforts to be righteous. Because I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever, My thoughts stay true – day-by-day, year-by-year, generation-by-generation. So trust Me to be steadfast in truth.

My Word and My Spirit guide you, if you will let Me lead. I can steer you clear of evil – whether they be obvious sin or unseen ones of the heart. If you trust and respect Me, you know I do not make rules for their own sake. Rather everything has a purpose, and that purpose is good.

If you find you don’t understand My instructions, you know that you can trust me anyway – even when you don’t understand. So resist the urge to allow a “need to understand” to become an idol. Instead yield to Me and trust Me to lead, and to lead you rightly.

The fourth Prophetic Nugget is called “Yield to My Perfect Will.”

Proverbs 3:8 (VOICE) If you depend on Him, your body and mind will be free from the strain of a sinful life, will experience healing and health, and will be strengthened at their core.

Beloved, I do not instruct you to yield to Me and My ways from a desire to control you or strong arm you into doing what I want. I instruct you to yield because I see the path of greatest blessing. Sometimes that blessing comes from grace under challenge and sometimes from hardships avoided, but ultimately I see the best path.

I desire blessing for you. When you choose to surrender your will to Mine, you are demonstrating that you trust Me and believe My heart towards you is good. When you resist Me, you demonstrate fear and a lack of trust. Often those choices come from past woundings, so I extend grace even in those moments. However, the highest sense of right in any situation is to yield to My perfect will and trust Me to guide you through. So make the intentional decision to yield, and leave the rest to Me.

Kingdom Identity and Honor

Rightful Place” by Meghan Williams of Dyed4you Art

Matthew 5:16 (AMP) “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Luke 20:25 (TPT) Jesus said, “Precisely. The coin bears the image of the Emperor Caesar, and you should give back to Caesar all that belongs to him. But you bear the image of God. So give back to God all that belongs to him.”

2 Corinthians 10:7, 18 (TPT) You seem to always be looking at people by their outward appearances. If someone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself of this: we belong to Christ no less than he does. So let’s be clear. To have the Lord’s approval and commendation is of greater value than bragging about oneself.

Blossom in the Light of My Countenance

“In His Marvelous Light” by Meghan Williams, Dyed4you Art

Beloved, just as flowers flourish in the light of the sun, you were created to blossom in the light of My countenance. When My face is turned towards you, My blessing, favor, and honor abound towards you. Indeed, I designed your very being to respond to and flourish in My Presence. Just as creation responded to My voice in the beginning, so the potential I’ve placed within you naturally springs forth in response to My Light. Walk with Me in Righteousness

Ecclesiastes 12:14 (GW) God will certainly judge everything that is done. This includes every secret thing, whether it is good or bad.

Beloved, I’m not hovering, waiting for you to mess up so I can smite you. Nor am I eagerly awaiting seeing you stumble or fall. But the fact remains, I see all and I AM righteous. I AM the righteous judge and I don’t grade on a curve. Yet I AM slow to anger and rich in mercy.

What this means is don’t simply do your best – deciding for yourself what seems right or wrong, but rather know My Word that you might understand what is expected and the measure by which all is judged. Then look to Me to help you walk out My will.

I AM a good father. I AM patient and kind. Let Me help and let My Spirit teach you. And in the moments you fall short, don’t delay in repenting and realigning with My heart. Put your hand in Mine and walk with Me in righteousness.

Adon Olam (Master of the World/Sovereign of the Universe)

Matthew 6:13 (KJV) …For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Beloved, see Me for who I AM: Lord of all, Adon Olam – the Master of the World, Sovereign of the Universe – and I AM the ultimate authority. See Me as I AM, for in doing so your faith will rise. And allow that faith to increase your understanding that truly nothing is too difficult for Me.

So declare the truth of who I AM and bring praise to My holy name. Give honor to Me, beloved, and watch how I move. See My power on display. Have eyes to see the miracles both great and small. I AM able to do abundantly above all you can ask or think, for I AM God. Continue reading “Adon Olam (Master of the World/Sovereign of the Universe)”

Live Honestly and in Harmony

Malachi 2:6 (VOICE) He spoke the law of truth, and falsehood was not found on his lips. In peace and justice he walked with Me, and he turned many from iniquity by his words and example;

Beloved, resist the urge to compromise your integrity. There is no such thing as a small lie. Even what appears as minor and innocuous opens doors in the spiritual realm and shifts things in the natural.

Be known as a person of character. Be someone who resists falsehood, and who loves justice and peace. Lead by example, beloved. Be steadfast, and live in honesty and harmony.  Continue reading “Live Honestly and in Harmony”

Weighty Covenant

Revelation 4:11 (VOICE) Worthy are You, O Lord; worthy are You, O God, to receive glory and honor and power. You alone created all things, and through Your will and by Your design, they exist and were created.

Beloved, stand in awe. Pause and take in Who I AM and the glory and honor due My name. I AM Creator and I AM the Lord God Almighty – sovereign and holy, everlasting and eternal. I AM.

And I have chosen you. I have made a covenant with you. I AM your God and you are My people. I have taken the weight of this agreement on Myself. Be certain to treat it, and Me, with the sobriety of mind and heart that is deserved. Give honor even as I honor you. Continue reading “Weighty Covenant”

Cast Your Crown

Revelation 4:10-11 (AMP) the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and they worship Him who lives forever and ever; and they throw down their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they exist, and were created and brought into being.”

Beloved, what will you do with the honors given you? What will you do with the blessings I put into your hands? Will you use them to build your own kingdom? Or will you willingly and joyously choose to lay them at My feet.

Beloved, cast your crown before Me. Choose Me as the most valuable and precious gift of all. Find Me worthy and spend your life yielded and poured out before Me. For I AM faithful and true, worthy and steadfast – I AM the loving, righteous God. Worship Me.  Continue reading “Cast Your Crown”
